Overview

The purpose of this practice is to provide a foundation practice for the participant that can be used in any existing practices and in daily life.
It is believed that being centred and grounded gives the individual a stable state that they can interact with the world without being overwhelmed by personal feelings that may exist or an-other persons strong emotional projections.
It also gives a stable state to observe these arising and allow them to pass leading to a state of equanimity.
If this centred and grounded state is maintained I believe that this is the optimal state to maintain for every moment of a conscious existence or experience of life.
Many Qigong, Meditation, Yoga, martial and internal art traditions stress the importance of being centred and grounded to sustain the internal reflection that is required to develop high level practice, insight, intuition and realisation. The repetition and constant awareness of this internal state is useful for the development of self-mastery, equanimity and self-realisation.
